Hey there. My name is Kevin Goodwin. I'm a hopeless romantic and singer-songwriter from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I like Bloody Marys, long walks on the beach, and making songs that sound like they would have been popular twenty years ago.
I fell in love with writing and performing music at a young age, and spent most of my time throughout high school writing songs and playing shows around my hometown. I love lots of different kinds of music, but my favorite genre has always been 2000's pop rock. The Fray, John Mayer, Counting Crows, and other artists in that vein are my biggest influences. Really, anything they'd be playing in a dentist's office or at Harris Teeter. That's my jam.
On February 1st, 2019, I released my debut EP, This Is How It Starts. That record would go on to gain traction, surpassing over 250,000 streams on Spotify (wowza, thanks for listening!). I then released my sophomore EP, Heart of the City, on March 5th, 2021. That record would also go on to garner over 250,000 streams on Spotify (again, wowza and thanks for listening!). My most recent EP, One Hell of a Night, was released on August 25th, 2023.
My music has been featured and reviewed in a number of rad publications and podcasts including The Permanent Rain Press, Indie Echo, and The Jason Damico Show.
I'm always booking shows where I play acoustic arrangements of my songs, and I'd love to come play one for you. If you'd like to see me play live in your city or town, please let me know where you want to see me and I'll be there.
I hope the songs I write have the privilege of becoming a part of the soundtrack to your life. Thanks for listening.
